5. Week 7: Animation Festival Preview

   • Provide information on an upcoming animation festival and its significance in the online space.

   There are two or three animation film festivals I've never actually gone to before that I'd love to someday.

   Why?

   1) Canadian animation is awesome. I miss the Sick & Twisted Film Festival, but Ottawa is the high brow version, and usually has some very impressive films.  My favorites are now historical pieces- Norman McLaren, Raymond Briggs &
   

   2)  It's like the Cannes for Animation because it's in France, the birthplace of cinema!

   3) I don't know why I've always loved the odd Japanese sense of humor, but it works for me. Maybe it's also because I love the aesthetics.  There's wabi-sabi, there's anime; what's not to love?

    

   This is another blog that I'm going to have to invest some more time on before the end of the month.  Apologies as this is still under construction.  

   
   

   I've had a lot of weird ideas for animation, but very little time to actually do anything with them.  I just have to block off sometime both for that and the gym.
