Carrd website planning
Nope nevermind.
I thought for a delusional moment that I could take certain sites down to the free level plan without much of a change, but then I just realized that the custom domain feature is not available to those. It does make me wonder, though, if I have room for just one or two sites, and they are simply back up copies, it might be worth offloading those into a free account to make sure I still have more room to play with.
Part of the frustration with carrd, and intrinsic to its simplicity is that there is no potential for more than just the design without all the SEO capabilities most other sites provide. This also makes me think that while this is a good starting point for many projects, it should probably not be the end point. I would probably do better to imitate the design I like and put it into somewhere it can become more, like wordpress, squarespace, wix, weebly, or similar.
I know it seems like a lot of work for nothing now.
But sometimes the fact that a space is easier to use, like a sandbox, is a greater starting point than diving in full force into an idea, especially when all ideas are fluid.
