SEO tips with GuinRank
Lately I've been obsessed with getting my SEO higher with GuinRank and checking out my Code to Text ratio on all my websites. Turns out Every one of my websites is poor! In fact, even when I check other people's sites, theirs is poor, too.
Okay, I finally found a good one- That's ISPS-US and theirs is profoundly good at 52% whereas most of mine don't even hit 10%.
I'm still learning why that is, but I think it's related to the way my push button publishing sites are created. I think if I were doing everything coded by hand, it would be a lot easier to manipulate the code vs text ratios, but bc I'm at the whim of whatever the code is doing for me, I'm stuck with those variables, and I literally have to write my way into a better set of ratios, with no promises.
This is making me wonder if I should switch to Dreamweaver and just steal the design of these sites after learning what I like in Carrd. That's really not that hard if I can freaking get to that level of expertise with Dreamweaver and find a freaking host that I like. I've been dissatisfied with Godaddy lately.
And I'm wondering if something like Bluehost or wordpress or 1&1 will suffice. I dunno. What scares me though is the new SSL stuff with all the back end of the admin and I've never been good with that. I think I've messed it up so many times, that I just know its hours upon hours of work and I have horrible memories of that. THis is why I switched to Carrd in the first place. And now I'm just stuck between a rock and a hard place with wanting the best with all this SEO shit. You just can't win.
Ok, Well. Here I am stuck between being a novice and a techie again. I used to know how to code better, and I just want to be an artist, but I can't have that because people want to be making money yo. And I am on disability again. I can't have it both ways apparently.
